Privacy

Spin a Stay is run by SpinAstay (business ID 2963843-8), Finland. Contact: info@spinastay.fi.

What we don’t do

• No accounts and no logins.
• No advertising cookies and no tracking pixels on our pages.
• We don’t sell personal data.

What we process

• Your answers (destination, dates, group size, budget) are sent to our server to fill the wheel. We don’t store them. If you share a result, they are written into the share link itself.
• Your location, only if you choose “Near me, tonight” or “Use my location”. Your browser asks you first. It is used for that one search and not stored.
• Your email address, only if you sign up for the weekly email. It is stored in a Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account, and you can unsubscribe from every email.
• Visit statistics through Plausible Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
• Server logs kept by our host, Vercel, for security, for a short period.

When you leave our site

Booking buttons take you through Stay22, our affiliate partner, to a booking site such as Expedia or Booking.com. From that point their privacy policies apply, and they may set cookies to record that you came from us. The map loads from Stay22 only when you press “Show places on a map”.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman. Email us to use any of these rights.
